I’ve become very active lately in commenting on other blogs. As my blogger friend list grows so does the workload. It doesn’t feel like work because I actually enjoy what I do but is time consuming. Keeping track of those blog and forum comments can get confusing when your leaving around a hundred a week.
Last month I posted about BackType.com that helps us keep track of our comments. With the help of comment subscriptions we can see when someone else responds to the posts. Those email notifications can quickly become overwhelming when mixed in other day to day emails. I decided to create a dedicated email to use for comment subscriptions. Then I started using the ‘manage your subscriptions’ option on older notifications so they would go to my new email account.
Within just a few days I realized how much easier things have become. My regular email account isn’t loaded with dozens of comment notifications. Now I simply log-in to my new email and spend a few minutes scanning emails that are generated from my ever increasing blogging addiction ~ I mean activity
