It wasn’t long ago when I was just blown away at how some of the Yahoo Groups had taken off and had tens of thousands of members. Now I get the same feeling of awe with certain YouTube videos. I’m not talking about the heavily promoted videos like political campaign promotions or those videos like Susan Boyle on British Idol that has been on every news broadcast for days. I’m talking about truly viral videos. Check out these stats (as of 9am Apr. 19, 2009) and tell me what blogger wouldn’t envy the numbers:

I wanted to comment on one of Natalie’s videos that was just posted YESTERDAY! and there were already 8,982 comments. Can you believe these numbers? Just incredible! Oh yeah, don’t even get me started on the whole 248,116 subscribers thing. I wonder if I could get her to wear my ‘Get Extreme‘ t-shirt in her next video
that’s a lot of freakn comments in that amount of time, wow
is it the video or the owner of that video that made it so “viral”
i’ll wear that extreme t-shirt brian! and post it up on a blog maybe one of the cool prizes for an upcoming contest on my blog =]
Hi Pheak, I imagine her personality has a lot to do with it along with her being very cute. That’s a nice offer Pheak, I think about it a little
it seems that viral videos are all the rage now. the most recent one is the Viral Wedding Video which garnered 15 million views in a few short months! the difficulty is to monetize from your videos’ traffic.

It’s true Wayang, if it’s not being monetized it’s a huge waste of time. I should shoot Natalie an email and see if she’s up for a short interview. It would be nice to see how she converts her talent.
